The Brooklyn Recovery Fund: The Brooklyn Recovery Fund is a joint effort between the Brooklyn Community Foundation, the Office of the Brooklyn Borough President, and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce to create a pooled fund to provide support to Brooklyn’s nonprofit organizations working with the communities and individuals most affected by Hurricane Sandy. Pies ‘n’ Thighs: Pies ‘n’ Thighs is donating $1 of every chicken and pork box this month to Red Cross for Sandy relief.
Beloved: Beloved Bar in Greenpoint will be offering discounted cocktails and drinks on November 6th and offering all proceeds to the American Red Cross. more info here

The Meatball Shop: Bring a blanket to any location of The Meatball Shop and get a free order of “naked” meatballs. The blankets will be distributed to Hurricane Sandy victims in the NYC area.
Nitehawk Cinema: Nitehawk is accepting donations for the Red Cross all this week. The owners will match funds dollar for dollar.
Cubana Social: Cubana Social is a drop off location for supplies & non perishable food donations. Making weekly trips of supplies & helping hands to the Rockaways, as well preparing and sending hot food. Contact cubanasocial@gmail.com to volunteer or donate.
